Babies crawl before they walk, and sign before they talk! When a baby waves "bye-bye" or points at what she wants, she is signing! Or have you noticed how your baby would flay his arms asking to be carried? It is natural for babies to communicate with signs.
And, for the first time in Singapore, you now have the access to learn through materials and resources from Baby Signing Time.
As the first ever certified Baby Signing Time instructor accredited by the Signing Time Academy, I am very excited to share with you the benefits and the joy of signing and how it has aided my communication with my daughter.
How long is the course?
The course can go from 4 or 8 weeks, depending on how long you can spend at each class. The course is based on the award winning Baby Signing Time series where each lesson can cover up to 20 signs.
What is the best age to start?
The Baby Signing Time course is for babies from 3 - 36 months. Babies and toddlers are welcome to attend the classes but are not compulsory. It is ABSOLUTELY FREE for babies and toddlers.
What is Baby Signing based on?
Baby Signing uses American Sign Language where the caregivers / parents are taught and shown how to sign words which relate to babies such as Milk / More / Water / Ball so that your baby is able to communicate what she wants without being frustrated as you now understand her needs.
What this course is NOT, however, is interpretation. The goal is to teach parents / caregivers key vocabulary and words and not a total and direct interpretation of books, etc.
What are the benefits of Signing to your baby?
Through signing, your baby is able to:

These products are totally optional and are just meant as an additional support /avenue for you and your baby should you wish to engage your baby further at home on signing.
